Bizom India Kirana Report (Apr 2021)

India’s sense of normalcy ended rather abruptly last month as Maharashtra saw a deluge of cases, which is now visible in larger parts of the country as well. 

The vaccine distribution that brought hope, got stunted by the lack of availability, resulting in a slowdown in the number of jabs administered. This month, despite all odds, IPL 2021 began & ended rather abruptly.

However, the one thing that helped Indian consumers during this time of crisis were the friendly neighborhood stores whom we call Kiranas. Yes, yet again these stores have helped us battle the pandemic by ensuring product availability. 

This, despite many on field folks across FMCG companies struggling to cope with COVID-19 that’s either hit them or their families. 

Oh yes, Kiranas are rescuing us, again!
